Not if you build it yourself — it is IKEA-level simple with a drill, saw, and level. But you can also skip the DIY and get quotes from local builders through our configurator.
How long does it take to build?
Most builds take 2-4 weekends for one person. Faster with help. Take your time—there's no rush.
What if I get stuck?
Join our Discord community. Ask questions. Share photos. Get help from builders who've been there.
Can I customize the design?
Absolutely. That's the whole point. Licensed under CERN-OHL-S-2.0 (strong reciprocity), you're free to modify, improve, and even sell what you build—as long as you share improvements back. Make it yours.
Do you ship materials?
We now offer precision MDF templates that ship to you! For raw materials, you source locally (lumber yard, hardware store) to keep costs down and support local businesses. Order templates here →
